"I was searching for something that was viable - cooler than jeans or shorts without a doubt - and that was something I could wear the entire day, something different than large intense pants," says Villegas, proprietor of Utility kilts.
"I believed that the customarily Scottish kilts were an extraordinary thought, however I wasn't Scottish. So I got around to stating I need something that resembles a Scottish kilt however with pockets and belts and launderable," says Villegas.
So he cut up an old pair of Army pants and made a sort of kilt with pockets and waist bands.

The utility kilt isn't only for nonconformity types, says Villegas. He believes it's pragmatic menswear for the standard. However, he says utility kilt wearers aren't introverts.
